Project Management

Prior to setting up his own business, the focus of Ian’s career was site based construction project management on both new build and refurbishment projects and in a wide variety of sectors. He has managed multi million pound projects in most sectors of the industry both public and private including infrastructure, retail, commercial and residential.

Through IB Project Management we have focussed on client side project management of schemes up to £1 million in value, enabling us to offer the majority of consultancy disciplines ‘in house’. Much of this work has been associated with the health and social care sector, being the profession of his wife, Carolyn. Together they have worked on the design and delivery of ‘turn key’ specialist residential care and supported living services for Inclusive Lifestyles Ltd along with home extensions for individuals who have become disabled through accident, injury or illness. Examples of some of these schemes are:

• A six person residential care home in Wirral with the creation of a bespoke annexe for a young woman with particularly complex needs and behaviours. The annexe was designed with walls falling short of the ceiling to allow full accessibility to all areas using an H frame ceiling mounted hoist.
• An autism specific residential care home in North Wales. The design for this service was integral to the support of the individuals living there, with design detailing required to ensure a robust yet homely environment, whilst also supressing the impact of noise and activity required because of the potential sensory sensitivities experienced by many people with autism.
